5 The company went on dress parade with their arms loaded, and lay on their arms all night. The Irish Regt and one Indiana Regt told them, to stand up for their rights and they would see them out in the matters. I have these things from Capt. Chapman himself. And I suppose this is the sum of their offending, and for this they must be degraded by having officers put over them from some other Company. I know there is high minded honorable men in this Co who are qualified to fill allmost any office and who will not
