been for some time and I expect will stay for some time yet but she will be home next Thursday because it is Thanksgiving to stay a week and Mrs. Jappa the lady she bords with will come with her, Clara will also come home Christmas and stay two weeks. Papa was just reading to us (mamma and I) about people living in America a thousand and prehaps several thousand years ago I wonder if it is so. I have not taken a bath yet I expect I ought to but I do not want to. I want to put down right here that I think Foxie died May 2, 1881. I went sliding yesterday afternoon and some in the forenoon after I got home from my crayon lesson and had a splendid with Edith Simmons and Carrie Latta, Edith was plesent for a wonder. My [kithe? kitten?] ran away Thursday I guess had a fit and has not come back yet I guess she is dead poor little dear. I called her Bunnie. Dicky that was my squirrel died not long ago we let him out doors for a while because he was sick and he seemed better but he came back one day and died. I guess I will stop writing for a while because my hand is getting tired and go and work on my crayon picture. I finished Rambles Among Insects which was very good and Miss White loaned to me want [together lager?] pins and the books.
