could get the [fin? pin?] built in the other [worm?], to see about my dress. We decided to have a pointed waist. This afternoon I went up town and then stopped at aunt [Sade's?] to see if she could [tell?] me any thing about Gail Hamilton. For the programe at the W. W. C. next Tues. the club is [decided crossed out] devided into three classes. There is a chairman for each class and I am one of them. Each class has an author and ours is Gail Hamilton. The chairman is to give a biographical of the author and the rest are to give quotations from their works. All I have been able to find out is that she was born in Hamilton Mass. and that her real name is Mary Abigail Dodger. She is related in some way to Senator [Blaine/Blaire?] but I do not know just how. Last night I went to [another?] [shaking?] and while I was there Smart Will Ballard and a Mr. Whitington of Fairfield. Mr. W. was a lovely [sha---?]. The card crowd [wants?] her tomorrow night.
