I got home at 4 o'clock. Papa went up first and I went alone which the girls thought they would not have done for the world but it was light as day from fire. A man on horse back came down in our end of town and [screamed?] twice. I don't suppose our folks would have known any thing about it if I had not heard the cry. They were sound asleep. I met Eva Dye and Al [Hodt?Holt?] there. Al and I were laughing to think waht a short time ago it was [the?] [parley?] for he was at the rink. I guess it caught in a beer salon. Sat. eve I was invited To Belle Patterson's for tea. Ella and Sylvia Warren, Hattie [Sla--s?], Sadie Mc[punkin?], Ella Waide of Muscaline and my self were there. We had a lovely supper. After supper [Matt?] Waide, [Wasly? illeg.], and John Parkinson came after Sadie and Ella Waide to go to the rink. We danced a while and then they went. We went to the rink also.
