March 11/84. Since I have written in this both the masquerade at the rink and the dance has come off. I represented Folly at the rink with 72 bells on my costume. We skated until 11 then danced. The [saloon?] was horrid to dance on so we did not dance until 2 as they expected to. Charlie took me home. The next night was Maggie Wilson's reception to which I wore my pink satin. Cam Patterson brought me home. I took Charlie to the dance as I expected to. There was a very small crowd but I do not believe I ever had so much [fun?] before. I wore a pink and white striped skirt and a [illeg.] with a black background and bunches of wild roses on it. Some said I look the nicest they ever saw me, so Ida Cunningham told me. We danced until after twelve and then went to the
