Sat, Nov, 1, I went to town. We went first to Mrs. Bushnells then to the rink where we met Will Bishop of Muscatine In the later part of the afternoon we went shopping and he went with me. I purchased a pair of shoes and a pair of roller skates. After we got through shopping we went to Mrs. Bushnells for tea. We had to fly out here in time for the farce. All the people were there when I got home and so I ran up three pairs of stairs got my hair fixed, my slippers on and a white tie around my neck and flew down again. They say I was one of the best if not the best. Of course I felt good after that for I had studied pretty hard on my part. I did not get scared at all as I was afraid I would. Seven weeks this morning since I left home.
