Nov 9, 1943 Dearest: Just arrived. Have a few moments in which to write a little. A t least you'll have my address then. This, I believe, is from point of location, the worst place I've ever been. It's stuck up against the base of a mountain range at the edge of a salt desert . . . . 145 miles ($10 bus fare!!) west of Salt Lake City. The schedule (if they stick to it) allows us every 4th afternoon free and fills the rest full to the brim. So you'll have a letter every fourth day at least. I am training (secret don't tell it!) for service in Europe and
