Salt Lake City, Utah later - 10 p.m. December 7 [1943] Dearest: Well, I met Elaine Jorgensen. Found her at work at the printing shop. At first she was rather cool or, at least, seemed so. Partly this was because she was busy and partly because she had a chip on shoulder on account of my statement in regard to her administration.
