Willametta Turnepseed 202 Roseland East Springfield, Ohio -3 Bob Northrup was on the troop train headed for his embarkation when they stopped the train, took him off in an ambulance, and operated on him for appendicitis. His division is now somewhere overseas. He says he had tears in his eyes over the separation and couldn't even say goodbye. Mother decided my suits would be swankier if they had jackets so I went up to get the necessary two yards but they were sold out. However, in looking thru the short lengths we found 1 1/2 yds, and do you know mother has figured out the pattern to enable her to get it out. She's a whizz!! Must go to bed and get ready for another hard day. - Haven't heard from you since Monday (and I badly need a letter!) but maybe I'll hear tomorrow. I feel you are all right. Love, Willametta
