92 Front of Petersburg, Va. Wednesday, Augt. 10th 1864 Owing to a shower of rain last night the air is delightful this morning. Received a ration of Codfish. Thursday 11th One of Company F's men went to the Brigade Commissary with an order for whisky, but Ed. Oneal, the Commissary's Clerk, pronounced the order a forgery and after handling the man rather roughly sent him back to the regiment. Lieutenant Daniel Snyder, of Company B, who has been under arrest for sometime, had charges preferred against him by order of Col. Humphreys. Some of the regiments of the Corps are being paid.
