93 Front of Petersburg, Va. Friday August 12th 1864 At three oclock, this afternoon the regiment signed the pay rolls for 5 months and $50.00 bounty. Saturday 13th About half of the regiment were paid last night and the balance this morning. I received $175.00 being 5 months at $25.00 - $125.00 and Bounty - - - 50.00 Of this I sent home to father by Express $150.00 and directed father to give sister Anna $20.00 Received letter from father saying that he had received a check from S.S. Child, Harrisburg, Pa., for my account, for $275.00
