138 Near Peeble's House, Va Monday, Nov. 7th 1864 Drew and issued rations for 382 men; viz-Company "A." 38 Co. "F" - 45 (Total of left column, written above:-) 177 " B - 44 " G - 31 " C - 42 " H - 43 " D - 15 " I - 40 " E - 36 " K 42 Non Com. Staff 2 Extra 4 177 Total 382 A package was recd in the mail addressed to Retorc Byrems, Co. H. 50th P.V.V. There being no such party in the regiment, the package was opened at Head Quarters and I fear the articles were confiscated There was in the package: 1 Small Medallion 2 Watch chains 1 Gold Pen 1 Silver PenHolder 1 Brest Pin. 1 Meerschaum Pipe and several other small articles.
