Tuesday 7th There was very heavy fighting on the left of us, but no attack was made in our front. Rained and hailed. Detailed for Picket duty tonight and tomorrow. Wednesday 8th The Artillery of both sides amused themselves for a considerable time, last night and today, by throwing throwing shells at each other.
