197 Fort McGilvery, Va., Friday, March 10th 1865 Mr McGrath had my coat exchanged and while the goods are not quite as fine as the original it certainly is a very much better fit, and no doubt as he says will give me better service than the other would have done. Received by mail a shirt from sister Anna and a letter from sister Kate. Rained this afternoon. Tuesday 14th The regiment was called out and stacked arms, then waited further orders, however nothing of importance has developed. Owing to the multiplicity of duties my diary seems doomed to be laid aside.
