213 Kulps Hill, Gettysburg, Pa., Monday July 3. 1865 The Regiment rested in Camp today. Lieutenant Colonel S.K Schwenk and a number of the officers rode over the route of the parade and located the position of the Band &c. I was designated to lead the Bands into position, after ariving at the cemetary. After dress parade, this evening, I rode out with Major Brumm, Chaplain Armstrong, Lieut. Eckel, Surgeon Wilson and one or two other officers, to a farm house, quite a distance from camp and were treated with milk.
