May, SATURDAY, 21, 1864. lay in Camp all day near Cassville Ga. went fishing but Caught nothing was about sick SUNDAY, 22. arose in the morning feeling bad went to the Creek & washed my shirt & socks & went in swimming recd. a letter from [Genn?] one from Carol & 1 from [Gine?] had Chicken for Supper (Vertically, at left:-) had my hair Cut MONDAY, 23 arose @ 2 1/2 Am, had liver & mutton for breakfast joined the Brig. @ 4 24 P Col. Bushbeck started for home started about [6?] passed through Cassville & Cassville Station crossed the River & encamped for the night
