June, WEDNESDAY, 8, 1864. wrote to Marie & John Waters bought a canteen of whisky @ the Commissaries THURSDAY, 9. recd. a letter from Cate with her photo. lay all day in camp went down to the creek &. had a good wash FRIDAY, 10. arose @ 4 1/2 Am. Corporal Lovelace joined the Regt. lay under marching orders all day was ordered to pitch tents about 4 Pm. & stay overnight (Vertically at left:-) the weather was rainy
