June, TUESDAY, 14, 1864. drew rations about 11 Am & went on picket immediately after were relived from picket about 1 1/2 Pm &. moved to the front sent out 2 letters for J Watters WEDNESDAY, 15. lay in Camp until about 11 am, when we moved out on the skirmish line. Advanced about [2?] Pm, had a very hard skirmish & our loss was heavy THURSDAY, 16. had some pretty hard fighting Crosby was wounded & [Abr?] [Braham?] killed we moved in the night & built breastworks
