September, TUESDAY, 6, 1864. wrote a letter to Albert policed camp using an old cart which parks & my self got @ a house close by to drag the dirt off WEDNESDAY, 7. arose @ daybreak &. went up to a house close by [for?] water laid hold of a [hose?] which was lying loose around there was detai[led] to go to Chattanooga to [guard?] prisoners. left Atlanta @ Pm stayed in Marietta all night THURSDAY, 8. was all day on the road &. got in to Chattanooga about 9 or 10 Pm turned over our prison[ers] &. slept in the yard @ the Soldiers home all night
