November, Saturday, 26, 1864. started @ 6 Am. marched until about 12 m. &. encamped for dinner @ a little village called Sandersonville stayed there till about 3 1/2 pm. marched about 3 miles struck the R.R. & followed it about 1 1/2 miles Sunday, 27. started out about 6 1/2 Am. the 2nd. div. was engaged tearing up R.R. while I went on a foraging expedition. Came very near getting arrested by the provost marshall got a darkie by the name of mike Monday, 28. Continued our march with fair weather our Brig. has been with the Corps train to day &, have had no railroading to do got in camp just dark
