December SUNDAY, 11 1864. got up with my feet quite wet from the rain which had fallen in the night advanced up nearly to the Reb works MONDAY 12. & camped for the night Captured a transport which was coming down the River we Can get quite a view of the City from where we now are TUESDAY, 13 the Rebs shelled us Considerable spoiled our camp kettle & wounded 9 men moved our position a little
