MONDAY, JUNE 12, 1865. Leave Home for Davenport Got very sick while on the cars before reaching Burlington Left Burlington about 2 oclock P M reaching Davenport the next moring TUESDAY 13 Davenport Iowa succeeded in getting my mustering out papers - but will not be paid for one or two days I am boarding at a private house at one dollar per day It rains here to day WEDNESDAY 14 Davenport Iowa My health is very poor to day Settle with the Government,, Mrs. Chaterton was very kind to me while sick at her house
