THURSDAY, AUGUST 17, 1865. Leave Home for a trip through western Iowa Leave Marysville at 10 oclock a m. take dinner 18 miles north east of Oskaloosa - Camp for the night 2 1/2 miles from Oskaloosa at Mr Corrells FRIDAY 18 Enter Oskaloosa early in the morning. This is quite a flourishing Town Land in vicinity is valued at from 80 to 100 dollars per acre Pass through Pella & put up 7 miles west SATURDAY 19 Marion Co" Enter Jasper Co" and pass through Monroeville & Prairrie City and put up near Sun rise See some nice Prairrie - but a great deal of broken country
