TUESDAY, AUGUST 29, 1865. Camp near Bedford - Off early for Missouri Enter Mo in Worth Co and penetrated as far as Brown's Mill - when we directed our course towards Iowa Rough country - plenty of timber WEDNESDAY 30 Camp Missouri. Eat cornbread for breakfast - Off early for Iowa Prairrie Rough - timber scarce - Ringold Co go thro' Mt Ayr - the county seat Thinly settled - crops not so good = Land thin THURSDAY 31 Camp Hotel Feed and grub hard to get Prairries large and timber scarce. Enter Decater County - pass through Decator City & Leon and camped in west Decator Co
