Thank God, Clara, we Can say that our affection now far exceeds that which we bore towards each other when we were Clara and Jim. Be happy, God bless you, and await my return. Wife, spare no means necessary to keep yourself easy & Comfortable. Husband your means prudently but not parsimoneously. I find that fifteen dollars per month will Cover my expenses. Are you not glad? The ballance of $108.50 per month I will send you as fast as I get it. If I draw my money every two months I will be able to send you $175.00 at a time. We may not draw any more money for a month, if we do not, then I can send you about $250.00 at that time. The 20 dollars I sent you by Mr Bussey was a part of fifty dollars which the paymaster let me have in common with others by way of accommodation. Wife, I intend to lead a new life. Will you not join me? I know you will, Thanks to the Giver of all good that we were ever married. How I love you. I kiss your picture a thousand times o'er. What would I not give to be with you one blessed night. "If I could kiss those lips of fire" A million scarce could quench desire" Fair would I bathe my lips in Bliss And dwell an age on every kiss." Wife, you may think this a little a little amerous, but God bless you, my ambition is all towards you. I will, God being my helper be true to you. Any thing else, even when surrounded by opertunities, is very repulsive to me. (over)
