Paddy is cooking me some stewed chicken for dinner & I will eat a very little for you and lick a bone for Maudie. I never felt in better spirits & am happier to day that I am your husband and that you are my wife than ever before. My whole soul is filled with love for you and my highest aim in life is & shall be to honor you & my little cherub babes. God bless you and them. Please pardon [written in margin:] I feel confident that all is well with you. God has blessed you I doubt not. Tell Maudie Pa Pa going to send her little gloves & dress & stockings "pretty soon".
