I want to get a letter from You telling me all about my boy, so badly that I am entirely impatient and restless. Although you are his mother, yet I place more confidence in your judgement than in all the Community beside. Well, Capt Baker has got a sure thing this time for Lieut Col of our Reg, I have no doubt but I will be Capt. Say nothing, however, until it is all accomplished. Capt B will be at home in a few days. I would gladly come too, but it will be out of the question at present. Though I will come after while, not very long. Be of good cheer.
