After Capt Baker gets home, or in the course of four or six weeks I think I will surely geet an opertunity to come home. We will not be likely to leave here for eight or ten days during which time I think we will surely get our pay. If so I intend to make a flying trip to St. Louis by rail & purchase you and my dear little babes some nice presents. They should be nice ones, too. You know I have good taste. You shall have the dress you spoke of when I was at home and [some?] other things, besides. God bless you. How I do love you this morning. I feel all the emotions of a lover ten fold intensified. O what a blessed privillege to love such a woman and such dear children. We have divine service in camp this afternoon at 3 oclock under three or four large oak trees in our camp. I am glad to have the blessed privillege once more of hearing Gods word preached. Give my love to Bro & sister Margaret [?] & their family. Mrs Findly Mrs Gleason & others. Believe me darling fully disposed to take every care both of of health & life. Kiss my little babes tenderly for me and rest assured that I am indeed your Love and faithful husband J.B. Weaver
