You ask me if I would like for you to be popular as Mrs B. when I get back. My darling you are now more popular than her. But if there is any thing in the world that would please me, aside from the rich treasures of your dear heart, it is for you to be real popular with any body whose opinions are worth something. I do love to have you honored, blessed noble soul, I knew who I was loving. I am so glad you have gotten Mr. [Bondle] to chop your wood & to keep everything all nice for you. Bless your dear heart, I do love to know that you are comfortable. I just love to work & toil for you my own dear wife. It makes me happy. Thank God I have just got the one that is calculated to make me supremely happy & everything I can do to make you more comfortable and happy is a great pleasure to me. I know I am the most happy man living. I know you would "Welcome me home" when I do not know how I could stand it to be with you once more.  But "never mind". Good time "by and by" I am so glad our dear little boy Jimmie is such a fine fellow. O Clara, with such a wife & such children I do indeed feel like a man. I am so glad you are in such fine spirits. Thats right. Be [?thankful?] & God will bring all things out right.
