I have given them to God and constantly ask him to give them pure hearts and vigorous intellects and to bless us as a family. O believe I am so thankful that you are a praying woman. God has blessed you beyond your sex. He has given you a sweet temper fine personal approval & good health & above all a true womans soul & mind. Are you getting in a hurry for me to come and share those frosty nights with you? I&'ll bet you do want me to come. But no worse than I want to come. No money yet, expect not get any until start home which will be - shant say it - Want to fool you. May be I cannot get off though, will try hard, my health is fine. Is yours? Our company got a good many sick in it. One of our number Daniel Staley from [Miesville?] died at hospital in Cairo last evening
