Resolved That we can see no possible motive now for changeing the action had in the meeting of the officers of this regiment held on the 15th inst. whereby Major Wraren was unanimously selected as our choice for Colonel, Resolved, with refference to the apt of Capt. Little that the officers of the 2. are entirely unwilling that Capt R M Little be appointed to any field office in the Regt for (Vertically, from bottom left:-) The Committee who drafted these resolutions were Dr Marsh Capt Mostick & Lt M. J. Hamil. Every Officer voted for it. But I know Clara ain’t glad. She does not care if her husband is honored or not. Bless your own sweet peerless heart, you sweet girl, now I hope you are just getting along the very best kind. I know you are cheerful and happy and just Right around with good humor beaming from your gazelle eyes, The Officers in the Regiment inform me that they & the men have never been as well pleased in their commander as they are with me. This is very gratifying to a young Officer I assure you (Remaining part of this page is missing)
