tion for me to get home sooner. I think we will get off for house about the 20th of next month, so as to feel at home, in the place of rendesvous, by the time our term expires. Such are the orders from war department. Now won&'t I get a sweet kiss though when I get home? Wonder if somebody won&'t give me a pretty sharp hug in our nice little house? Woulden&'t wonder. You scamp. O I do hope our little pet Paul will do well. I think it will get right along without any difficulty, as it was not brought on by any exposure on your part. I want to see it so badly. Bless your angel heart, I know that no woman was ever loved more tenderly than you my own Clara dear. So warm hearted and so loving to me. O how I do want a sweet kiss from your red cherry lips. There is no prospect of our leaving here at present and I have no idea that I will be in another campaign. The health of the Regt is good. Yesterday one of the men drowned himself in the creek while in a fit of insanity He was a german and joined the Regt from the North part of the State last year. He was buried today. sister Audas health is not at all good, and never is when she is with Audas. I pitty her so much. [But D.?]
