Sherburn Barracks June 18th AD/65 Dear Brother and Sister Your vary wealcome letter was received a fiew days ago. and would have been answered sooner if I could have had time to write. we have been vary busy in the last ten days. have been on duty two out of evry three day. The olde soldiers of Shermans and Meads armeys mak much work for us, they get in to a row down tow then we have to go down and dry it up on them, was down from 7 in the morning to 11 (Vertically, from bottom left:-) Brigade of Kentuckey troops the last that he herd of him. well I will stop writing now write soon and excuse this poor letter much love to you both ever your affectionate Brother George Adam Wise
