H & S Co, 136th Med Regt Camp Claiborne, LA July 14, 1941 Dearest Dorothea and all! We arrived at Bringhurst at 9:30 AM Sunday morning. I slept quite a bit on the way down. Guess I was tired enough to even sleep on the train. I hope you enjoyed your stay in St. Louis and that you got home OK. I looked for a letter for you already but didn't receive one. Honey, I certainly did enjoy my furlough and hope that you did, too, which I know you did. Everyone was so nice to me while home and everything done to please me. Were you busy today? I hope they don't work you too hard upon your return to work. Of course they would all want to come back at the same time. They were busy while I was gone and had everything pretty well up to date. All glad to see me back, though, I guess. We had a great big rain upon our return and then rained today about noon. Lt Garrett told me the paper sold out to some Kansas concern. Marion is...
