H.S Co, 136th Med Camp Claiborne, La June 19, 1941 My dearest: I have started to write you two or three times but something always came along to interfere and when free again the letter was all cold. My red pencil doesn't go so good on slick paper. So will go back to the old standby. I certainty was glad to get your letters and got one one day and two the next. I am glad you are pleased with the arrangements to come home. I just hope the appointment doesn't come now
