Camp Claiborne, La April 7, 1941 Dear Folks: Well, I just received your second letter today- the one written Friday. Don't know why I get your letter written Saturday before the one written Friday but suppose it was a delay in the mail. Don't worry about the cold for I've gotten pretty well over it. Now don't work too hard in that shop. You don't have to get down & be sick. You can see a good example of that in Mother - so take heed and use a little good/judgment and only do what a sensible person would - and let the rest get along as well as they can. If you can't handle the work reasonably, then you had better get some more help. I would just tell Pohren that that was to much money. I would make him give you an itemized statement on the material and then check up on it. That's a good experience for now you won't hire anyone without knowing what it is going to cost you. I'd just let him wait. You might tell him it is
