H & S Co, 136th Med Reg Cany Claiborne, La Tuesday PM - Oct 28, 1941. My dear Dorothea, Another hard day's work completed. Seems like there is always a lot to be done and as fast as you get it done something else takes its place. I received a letter from Donald today and enclose it for your perusal. Sorry he isn't getting along more rapidly. I plan to go to New Orleans next Saturday and Sunday to see him. Hope I get in and everything. Your Sunday letter came this morning. I surely do miss you on Sundays, too. Glad you got in a nap, anyhow. So Mrs. Gillies is beginning to neighbor some, is she? She probably had a bad impression of neighbors from some of the renters who lived there before we moved in. Will have to live their bad reputation down before we establish a good one for ourselves. But we always have been able to and hope we can continue. They started the heaters in our tents to day and we really are beginning to need them. It got very cool last night and had both blankets on and a sheet & was wearing pajamas. Kenny Price got back today. He was looking pretty fat and sassy. He thought he had a swell supper at our house.
