ried, but thought his girl was very happy to see him and treated him wonderfully. Skewes and Holt are still on furlough but will be back about November 10th. I will have been in 9 months then. Seems like quite a spell, doesn't it? The Division is developing a football team. Gosh, I would sure hate to play as cold as it is getting. I saw Petey Gow today. He is going to get out about Dec. 15th. They have let 4 out of the 133rd so far. I got two wool shirts issued today and hope they fit a little better than most of my stuff has. Well, must close. Lovingly yours, John N. P.S. I certainly enjoyed the children's letters. And John R can surely write very pretty. Cliffie is learning how to print and draw nicely and old Carolly Annie sent me some of the nicest hugs and kisses. Give them all a big smacker for their pop. JNC
