As to you coming down, I guess maybe it would be cheaper for me to come home on the train - $21.55 for a round trip furlough fare. And that is probably quite a bit less than you could come down and go back even with some one else sharing the expense - and would also take about four or five days of your time. So guess I'll plan to come on the train as soon as I can get away - probably on the 13th or so. Have some roast chicken in the ice box and lots of milk and celery. I will go up and see Donald in the morning. I am returning the Jarnis check endorsed to you so you can use it. Glad the roomers are so prompt in their pay and so nice and clean. That is a big load off of your mind, I know. Griffin would have gotten there on the Tuesday PM train and suppose he was so excited to see his father that he never thought of stopping to see you.
