last time he waited and telegraphed from St Louis and she was away from home and didn't get it. 
I saw Al Hippe and he was planning to go home today. 
We got paid today- $126.00 + $34.50 = $160.50 - $7.70 insurance = $152.80. Out of that I have to pay $66.20 to Prudential and $64.35 to Central Life leaving $22.45. Just enough to get home on. How's that? Maybe I'd better not come home if I haven't any money. Or can we have a good time without any. Yes, I know Al Daniels, but do not remember of having had the pleasure of meeting her. 
You bet I want some pop corn when I get home - and lots of it. 
We put out about 249 furloughs for today - a special train load right out of camp.
Major Jenkins should be home by now. He said he would call you up and give you all the dope. 
Well, I must close. We have been very, very busy, but am letting some of the rest of them do some of the work. So I don't get as worn out as I did, but still get very tired every evening. Guess I'm getting old.
