H & S Co, 136th Med Regt In the field, Pineville, La AP0 34, Camp Claiborne, La Saturday, Sept 27, 1941 Dear Dorothea: Another beautiful day almost gone. I just got back from taking a shower at Louisiana College, which is just across the road from us. Supposed to be 450 students and only 30 men. But I never saw a one of either kind. Guess the college kids all leave Saturday afternoons. No letter from you this morning nor last night. I hope you just overlooked it and not on account of being sick or anything. There is a saw-mill across the road the other side of camp where they make box dimension lumber which they pile outside under weights to season. There
