exhausted. Finally it stopped and pretty soon it was morning. I ran around with my pants turned up to the knees and bare-footed trying to get the water to drain away. It rained so hard and fast and much that it flooded all around the area and water ran right through the headquarters tent. Finally it drained off and was pretty muddy. The sun came out and the wind blew and by noon it was fairly dry. I didn't eat breakfast except for two slices of bacon, as they were serving mush and thick sorghum and didn't appeal to me. The inside of the headquarters tent was still pretty muddy, so we found a spot which was on a knoll and had drained pretty well and moved everything out - then dropped the tent and moved it - put it up again and put things back in it. The boys didn't gripe much. Then Griff and I moved our tent. We started a fire but it didn't do much good for the wood
