they had to send it on to Ragley and some lost one day, - the day that was being forwarded. So tonight I hope to get two letters from you and the box of cookies. We are camped in a woods this time and it is very much better than the marshy plain where we were last. So many of the men have had a diahrreah (?) and seems to be infectious. So far I have either not been exposed or have been able to withstand it. How are the boys and Carol Ann? I'll be seeing "you-all" soon. We don't get much of the Southern brogue because we are among ourselves and don't come in contact with the natives very much. We didn't take out any more supplies than we had to for we expect to move tonight some time. It is almost too dark to see to write and don't want to light a light before we eat. There are lots of trucks, tanks and motorcycles going past on the road to the front. Must close to mail this Affectionately yours John N.
