H&S Co, 136 Med Regt. In bivouac, 4 1/2 mi SW Oakdale, La. APO 34, Camp Claiborne, La Sept 15, 1941 My dear Dorothea: Received your letters of Sept. 10th and 12th last night on the mail which didn't get out until about 1:00 o'clock. It was swell that you and the other Young Widow's got to go hear Ted Weems. No doubt you did enjoy it and I would have been very happy to go with you, you can bet. You are certainly doing swell on the bills. I will have 66.20 to pay on my Prudential Ins & 77.10 on my Central life this month and next, so won't have much left to send home next month - or to bring home, if I don't come until after the 3rd or 4th. Wish I could see you in your new hat and know you look plenty sweet in it, even without
