The old truck that we have been using at headquarters blew out a gasket so had to run it in for repairs.  
There was a bad wind storm in this area and word came to prepare, so everything was loaded.  But the storm didn't materialize and so everything was unloaded and set up again.  
Sgt. Griffin is back in the kitchen cooking.  The cooks kind of blew up and the Major wanted him to take over and get things lined up for them again.  Makes a little more work on me, but don't mind it so much as I can get along by myself about as well as with too much help, when every-one has a hand in and no one knows what has or hasn't been done. 
I got a letter from Bill enclosing a check for $6.00 for Sept office wrent & $12.50 for July Co Atty Office rent.  Sent in to apply on Iowa City Law Loan.  
The broker didn't get the Maytag stock as it went up before he could buy it and had him buy 15 shares of Sunshine Mining Stock @ 6 7/8 = $107 + with commission.  
I'm saving all I can and don't spend much.  Seems like it takes some no matter how saving you are.  
Dan is getting along pretty fair.  Seems to do a little better.  His folks write to him pretty often and he is
