have the _ whipped out of them right now, instead of waiting until our back is turned and then being stabbed when we are not looking. I am feeling fine physically. I get pretty blue and lonesome sometime and have to break it up or might get morbid- so I get me something to do. It helps. Honey, I'm glad you do love me so much and sure I like to have you tell me about it. I'm not much for mush, as you know, but I'll show you how much I love you when I get home. Will that be OK? OK. Well, I must close and get some other things done and go to bed. This afternoon I went down and availed myself of the field shower. It has been about four days since I had a shower and was pretty crutty. My clothes are all dirty - the next time we get into a bivouac area I'm going to get it all laundered even it costs a $5.00 bill, or I'm going to know why. It looked like rain for quite a while and were worried about having to put up the tents, but it has cleared up now and the moon is coming out big and round. Much love. Devotedly your own John N. P.S.
