We set up the pyramidal tents (2) three times. We set them up once and then the orders came down that head-quarters should be set up apart from the living quarters, so we had to move them. Then had to move them again because wee got a big [ward?] tent in which to have head-quarters and enlisted men to sleep in. We are going to take a shower this evening. I just smell like a goat, I'm so sweaty and dirty. It looks now like we will go back to Claiborne, but we never know for sure. Lt. Jesse L. Saar, Jr. - who is Jack Harbridge's nephew - and who mar-ried Ms. Conrad's (the [illegible] at Keo) daughter is with Company G of our Regiment and I see him about every day. A very nice fellow - slender - not so very tall - with black hair, dark eyes and wears glasses. I am returning Mother's [little?] for you to keep with this. Love John N.
