H&S Co, 136th Med Regt In [linovac?] South of De Ridder, La Aug 26, 1941 @ 1:30 PM My dearest Dorothea: We are still here - same thing no word as to when we will go but suppose it will be tonight. Your letter of August 22nd came and glad to have work from you. I wrote you a letter yesterday but didn't get it mailed so just mailed it now. Give my best wishes to Martha Allerdice and you had better get her some kind of present. I would go to the wedding if I were you for it will probably be very nice. I have already written you about the cookies. There was a bakery truck in today and most every one bought one of the little cakes they were selling. I am surely glad for Cliffie that his arm didn't get so sore. He is a pretty healthy little boy for sure. Enclosed is a letter from Vince Cullen with reference to the insurance on the house. I would like to have it insured to the amount of $6,000.00 in both fire and tornado, so it will have to be increased to $700.00 for fire - $2000.00 for tornado. You
