It is too bad about Claude and Kate. I hope they can get along, but seems like some people can and some people can't. Most of it depends on whether they want to or not. I suppose you and I could fight over a thousand and one little things that I do or don't do and over the little things you do or don't do, but as for me, I'm quite well pleased with the man good things you do and the very few things you do which might be better or different. In my way of thinking it's pretty nice to know there is one person in the world who you can depend upon to help you all they can and to fight off your enemies and help entertain your friends. It was so nice that your chocolate cake turned out so good. I'll bet it was very enjoyable eating. I surely miss it but can do all right without it because I could get too fat very easily. If you want a rumor to travel more rapidly than any other way, just add that it is confidential and it will go a hiking. If I don't get some promotion short after maneuvers, I guess I'll try for a discharge. However, I doubt if the law business is going to be so [illegible] and it certainly does wear me down to try and pay all the office expenses which it seems
