do feel that they have been pretty cheerful up to this one. There has been quite a siege of diahrrea, but have escaped it so far and there really hasn't been much of it in our own Company. Major Jenkins hasn't said anything to me about getting out himself, so don't know what he plans. I think he misses his family pretty much, though and he really has a pretty tough job, too. However, he gets pretty good pay in his rank. Tell the boys to study hard and to mind the teacher and they will learn a lot and be able to help Daddy in the office when they get through school. It is almost time to eat again. Don told me he had saved $290.00 so far. He will regret it if I get out and he can't. He put his name in for discharge on account of hardship. Well, must close for today. I'll write more later and may be in a better mood. I hope so anyhow-for your sake. Always your own John N.
